Participants attending the ECSSMET 2026 in Germany should check the visa requirements before travelling.
- Check whether you require a visa to enter Germany via the Overview of visa requirements of the Federal Foreign Office .
- A valid passport is required for non-EU citizens to enter Germany.
- For citizens of EU Member States, a national identity card is sufficient for entry.
Getting a Visa for Germany
Non-EU citizens require a valid passport to enter Germany and the European Union and to attend the ECSSMET 2026.

Letter of Invitation
The organizers of the ECSSMET 2026 will provide a letter of invitation upon request. DLR would like to clarify that the letter serves only to assist participants in obtaining a visa or securing travel funding. The invitation letter does not imply any financial obligation on the part of the conference organizers.
Participants requiring an invitation letter for visa purposes should request it during the online registration process.
Letters of invitation will only be issued after registration.
